“Circuitous” is probably
the best word to describe my path to art. The colors, shapes, and
textures of fungal spores led me to a doctorate in botany and a career
in academia at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. After
twenty-two years, however, my attraction to the visual and tactile took
a different turn…this time in the direction of textiles and contemporary
quilted wall hangings.
