SECTION 1:  Support groups in Mecklenburg County
Charlotte Fibromyalgia Freedom Circle (CFFC)    (1739,818/820)
      This group gives people with fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, or any other similar chronic illness a chance to learn how to live more peacefully.  Most of the meetings involve a speaker as well as a chance to share experiences with others who are travelling a similar path.  For more information about their monthly meetings just south of uptown Charlotte in the early evening, click here for their meetup web site or call a leader of the group at 704/989-1830 any day 9 a.m. to 9 p.m

CFIDS Support Group  (926,818/820)
      This free, peer led group meets monthly with professional speakers and sharing sessions for people with CFIDS or fibromyalgia and their families.  For more information about their evening meetings, click here to see their web site or call a member of the group at 563-0657, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to to 9 p.m.  (Click for overview of Fibromyalgia resources)

The Fibromyalgia Support Group of Arthritis Patient Services   (898,820)

The Fibromyalgia Support Group (Mooresville/Statesville)  (1480,820)

SECTION 2: Nonprofit agencies in Mecklenburg County
United Way 2-1-1 (Information and Referral Services)   (138, all)
This service provides comprehensive data and referral assistance for nonprofit and government resources in the NC counties of Mecklenburg, Cabarrus, Union, and Anson counties and in or near the city of Mooresville, NC.  If you are calling on a landline or residential phone in one of those counties, dial 2-1-1.  If that fails, if you are calling on a cell phone, or if you are calling from anywhere else in NC, call 866/744-7778.  For calls from out of NC, use their local number of 704/377-1100. Although they are open 24 hours a day, you may wish to call weekdays from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. for non-emergency questions.
