Promise Resource Network (formerly Mecklenburg's Promise). This community resource offers a variety of services for those with mental health and/or substance abuse issues.  As of this moment, they sponsor support groups for the following:  Aspergers, dual recovery (mental health / substance abuse), and a group for men and a group for women with mental health and/or substance abuse concerns.  They are also enthusiastic about starting a new group given community need.  Anyhow, how could anyone resist a recovery organization with a class named, "How Big is Your But?" See No Evil (Christian Sex Addiction/Problem Group). An anonymous, confidential, and non-judgmental support group for men ages 18 to 80 years. For over 20 years this small group has used current knowledge and biblical principles to help men deal with obsessive compulsive sexual behavior, which include in part compulsive masturbation, internet pornography, prostitution, strip clubs, massage parlors, etc. Call even if you are afraid. Sex Addicts Anonymous (SAA). This is the local chapter of the anonymous group for men and women dealing with addictive sexual behavior.  Meetings for those who think or know that they have a sexual addiction are designated for men only, women only, both women and men, and for addicts to attend with their partners. There are also groups open to anyone (including students). Their website displays details of meetings in the region. Sexaholics Anonymous. This 12 step fellowship of men and women provides a place to share experience, strength, and hope, solve common problems, and recover from sexual addiction and compulsive sexual behavior.  The only requirement for membership is a desire to stop lusting and become sexually sober.  You may call their local information phone line below or email  The group meets on Sunday and Thursday evenings.
