Shelter for Battered Women (all groups).  The Shelter provides support services and safety for women and children who are in or who have been in an abusive relationship with an intimate partner. They also sponsor professionally facilitated free support groups. For adult women these include groups addressing making decisions about abusive relationships, parenting, trauma recovery, and substance abuse. They also work with children regarding trauma and offer free childcare. Women of Color Networking and Friendship Circle (Meetup).  This group, founded in 2007, provides a place to discuss, vent, and laugh about the many trials and tribulations of being a Woman of Color. The group provides a wide range of activities from volunteering, fitness, theater, book clubs, potlucks, and other ideas to come from new members.
