Men's Bereavement Group (widowers) at St. Matthew. A safe, comfortable and friendly place for men who have had a significant loss. Most of the members have lost a spouse, they welcome men with any loss. They create a place away from the real world where men will find others who have travelled the same path and who understand. They meet weekly at St. Matthew in the evening. Soul Widows Support Group. This group is for young widows, age 60 or younger, who have experienced the loss of their spouse or significant other. They provide an intimate space for a group of women to share their grief through speaking and listening to each others stories. The meetings allow each widow the chance to be heard, and to feel supported in a safe and supportive environment. The sponsoring organization (The Respite) also has other classes and groups relating to any type of bereavement and loss; call them to find out what is currently in session.
